Laurence Mark Wythe is the UK born award winning composer and lyricist of the 2011 off-Broadway musical TOMORROW MORNING, a show that has now been seen on four continents having received productions all around the world. He is currently represented around the world by MIDNIGHT, now playing in Seoul, Korea, (book & co-lyrics by Tim Knapman); songs in CREATIVES by Irvine Welsh & Don de Grazia (Edinburgh & Chicago); the current productions of TOMORROW MORNING in Rome, Germany and Korea and the new movie LAST LAUGH written by and starring John Godber which LMW scored in 2017.
MIDNIGHT played to packed houses at London's Union Theatre in 2018 and Kate Golledge's brilliant production is now playing in Seoul, Korea. In 2016 DANNY HERO premiered at the Core Theatre Corby in the UK. The show has a book and co-lyrics by Timothy Knapman. Their new show GROWL! will premiere in 2019 in a production by the National Youth Music Theatre directed by Richard Fitch. Tim and Laurence are working on a new project with Jonathan Newman (Being Considered, Swinging With The Finkels) and a new family musical based on one of Tim's children's books Sir Dancealot.
LMW wrote music & lyrics for THROUGH THE DOOR which has played three seasons in Seoul, Korea and was seen in the West End at Trafalgar Studios in 2009 starring Julie Atherton and Paul Keating. The show had a New York workshop in 2011 starring Kerry Butler and Darren Ritchie. His musical STEALING MONA LISA had a West End workshop in 2013 starring David Bedella, Jon Robyns, Loula Geater, Kieran Brown and Matthew White and has since gathered dust in LMW's bottom drawer. He hopes to develop both these recently neglected project in the coming years.
LMW wrote book, music & lyrics for THE LOST CHRISTMAS, a festive family musical which played at the Waterloo East Theatre in London December 2011, previously played in a 2009 production at the Exchange Studio, Hazlitt Theatre Maidstone. The show has been featured at Perfect Pitch in the West End and at the Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford, Kent in the UK. The musical drama ROLL ON THE DAY (music & lyrics) played at the Etcetera Theatre in London in 2012, book by Roberto Trippini.

Teaching/Lecturing: LMW has taught/lectured at all of London's leading musical theatre colleges and has been musical director for over thirty stage productions. As a tutor, he specialised in song performance & interpretation. He is a founding director of Theatre Street Performing Arts, a not-for-profit organisation devoted to providing performing arts opportunities for young people in South East London, and now also the London College of Performing Arts which he founded in 2014 with his wife Claire both based at the Performing Arts Centre in Abbey Wood, London SE2.
Laurence has a long and close association with Perfect Pitch Musicals, a London based organisation dedicated to the development and promotion of new homegrown musical theatre.
